A birthday photographer in Chennai costs about ₹3,000–₹4,500 for a 2–3 hour party with photos only, and ₹6,999–₹19,999 for a package with more hours, video or an album. The price depends on three things: how many hours you book, whether you want video, and what you get at the end.

How many hours do you need?
- 2 hours: a home party with cake cutting and family photos.
- 3 hours: a hall party: decor before guests arrive, cake cutting, games and stage photos.
- 4–5 hours: first birthdays with rituals, a long stage queue or a return-gift session.
Count from when you want the first photo, usually decor about 30 minutes before guests arrive, to the last stage photo, not the end of dinner.
Hourly or package?
Hourly works when you only need photos and know your timing. A package is better value when you want video: the Standard package gives 4 hours with a photographer, videographer and highlight video for ₹12,999, compared with ₹10,000 for 4 hours of photo and video booked hourly.
