The moments that matter at a baby shower
- Getting ready. Saree, flowers and jewellery, with soft portraits of the mother-to-be.
- Bangle ceremony. Each elder sliding on bangles, shot close so every face is clear.
- Rituals and aarthi. Seemantham and pooja steps, covered in order without stepping into the priest’s way.
- Family and couple. Couple portraits and both families, before guests leave for lunch.
How long to book: A valaikappu or seemantham usually needs 3–4 hours, from the mother-to-be getting ready to the last round of blessings.

Baby Shower photography questions
Do you cover valaikappu and seemantham on the same day?
Yes. Most families hold them together. Book enough hours to cover both, or pick the Standard package for 4 hours of photo and video.
Can the photographer be a woman?
Tell us when you book. We will do our best to assign a woman photographer for your date and area.
How do I confirm a booking?
Pick a package or hours on the booking site and pay a 30% advance by UPI. You get a booking number straight away. The balance is paid on the event day after the shoot.
When will I get my photos?
Edited photos arrive in an online gallery within 72 hours, after a MyShoot quality check. Need them sooner? Add Express delivery for 24 hours.
What if the photographer can’t make it?
MyShoot assigns another verified photographer at no extra cost. That is our replacement guarantee.
Do I deal with the photographer directly?
Your photographer’s name and number are shared 24 hours before the event. All changes and payments go through MyShoot, so there is always someone accountable.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel 7 or more days before for a full refund of the advance, 3–7 days before for 50%, and under 72 hours there is no refund. You can reschedule once for free up to 72 hours before.
